- Economic Bee Hoon can be found in every or most hawker centres, and many coffee shops. Prior to being veggie, this was already one of my favourites.
All-Day
- Economic Rice. Be careful of little pieces of meat in veggie dishes, and I hear the veg-only dishes may be cooked with chicken stock as well.
- Nasi Padang (sometimes available at Nasi Lemak stalls) has lots of veggies options like eggplant, tempeh, long beans, egg.
- Murtabak
- Roti Prata
- Porridge with century egg. Mushroom is less common. (Thicker)
- Teochew Porridge with dishes (More watery)
- Fried Carrot Cake
- Char Kway Teow without sausage or cockles
- Rojak (“Chinese salad” of cucumbers etc in peanut sauce)
- I’ve found veggie versions of Kway Chup and Chicken Rice, which I love. You can look for which hawker centres have them on abillion, a crowdsourced websites of veggie options across all types of restaurants.
Vegetarian Restaurants
(Recommend to me but I’ve yet to try)
- Lotus (Novena)
- Kang Su (Orchard)
- Whole Earth (Tanjong Pagar)
Pescatarian
- Yong Tau Fu. Ask for it dry as the soup version is likely to be made with pork bones.
- Dry Fish Ball Noodle. Ask for no pork fat, or soup.
- Hokkien Mee without pork (fat)
- Char Kway Teow without sausage
- Sambal Stingray
- Mee Hoon Kuay if their soup is fish-based. It often is pork-based.
- Oyster Omelette
- La La (clam) White Bee Hoon
